Sondre Norheim's grave in Denbigh ND

The Annual Sondre Norheim Wreathlaying Ceremony and Dedictation of the Rannei Aasmundsdaughter Memorial Plaque takes place on September 30, 2008 at 09:00 am at the Norway Lutheran Church & Cemetery in Denbigh, North Dakota. The Master of Ceremonies is Rev. Luther Hanson.

Floral Dedication of the Rannei Aasmundsdaughter Memorial Plaque will be made by Mr. David Gunderson, Great Great Nephew of Rannei Aasmundsdaughter, wife of Sondre Norheim. David Gunderson is genealogist at The Hadeland Lag of America .

Laying of the Wreath on Sondre Norheim's grave will be made by Eilev Omland, President of The Norwegian Ski Adventure at Morgedal in Telemark.

In the church after the ceremonies at the grave, greetings will be made by Mr. Geir Arild Tønnesen, Vice-Mayor of Skien, and by Mr. John Haugo, President of Telelaget of America. Ms Elaine Nordlie, kin of Rannei Aasmundsdaughter and Vice President of Telelaget of America, will make a "Hilsen på norsk". Speaches will be held by Mr. David Gunderson and by Mr. Tarjei Gjelstad, Excecutive Director of The Norwegian Ski Adventure.

A reception hosted by the Espeseth family will be in the Norway Lutheran Church Fellowship Room will be held after the Program in the church.
