Also in 2007 Gary and Joan Holum, great friends of Skien and Telemark, invited the Skien delegation to their home in Minot. However, Gary Holum passed away only one month before the Norsk Høstfest. We all miss him so much ! But Joan Holum wanted to see her friends from Skien in her home, and we really appreciated the very nice evening we had together. We also met several of Joan's family, who we had met before.

Gary and Joan visited Skien as late as June 2007, and nobody knew about his cancer.
